Alixe is a special soul who has a vision to create with drums and dance - something so unique, something so compelling - that I couldn’t help but take her classes.Alixe puts her heart and soul into every choice of music, into every piece of choreography. She brings love and humour equally. Her heart is abundantly compassionate and one can’t help but feel safe and held by her energy.I’ve only just begun and already I feel the freedom to move, to feel, to express myself. It’s a gift to have someone like Alixe as my teacher. It is clear she is here to stay.

Alixe's energy is very refreshing. After being quite reluctant I tried my first class and then couldn't help but sign up for the whole session. The whole atmosphere is very welcoming, enjoyable and rewarding. I felt like I was strengthening and stretching while having fun. What a great combination.

Alixe has created a wonderful inclusive space. I wanted to learn how to play the cajon, and she has incorporated this into her drumming group. It’s fun, effective and I’m learning tons. I just love this drumming class❤️

The environment in the class I went to was collaborative and energetic, and was a great place to learn something for the first time! Alixe has a beautiful space to work in and I felt very welcomed.

My highschool friends and I just shared a weekend together and participated in a drumming session with Alixe. The experience was liberating, fun, exciting and made me feel alive! Alixe’s way of teaching is such that it’s easy to understand and she is very patient. You could see the fire light up in Alixe as she drums along with you and it’s contagious. The music attached to drumming just makes you want to dance and get it all out. I’d highly recommend this for many reasons: exercise, can be meditative, learn some new skills, connect with old and new friends, develop a sense of self and awareness, let off some stress. The space is inviting, comfortable and perfectly suited for an intimate experience.
